Deputy Defence Minister Visits War Heroes at ‘Ranaviru Sevana,’ Assures Continued Government Support


On National War Heroes’ Day (May 19), Deputy Minister of Defence Major General (Retd.) Aruna Jayasekara visited Ranaviru Sevana in Ragama. Accompanied by the Commanders of the Navy and Air Force, he spent time with Sri Lanka Army and Air Force personnel who were critically injured and rendered differently abled during the decades-long conflict.

  • He met residents, heard their concerns, and reviewed ongoing medical, rehabilitation, and support services.
  • He expressed deep appreciation for their bravery and assured them of continued government assistance to improve their quality of life.

He also thanked the dedicated staff of Ranaviru Sevana for their compassionate care and rehabilitation efforts, recognizing their vital role in upholding the dignity and respect of these war heroes.
