The postal voting process for the upcoming Local Government (LG) elections will conclude today (29), according to the Election Commission. Election Commission General Commissioner Saman Sri Rathnayake stated that eligible government officials who have yet to cast their postal votes will be able to do so at their workplaces today. Postal voting for this year’s LG elections commenced on April 24, with opportunities also provided on April 25 and 28. Meanwhile, the official distribution of ballot papers for the LG elections is also scheduled to conclude today. Postmaster General Ru wan Sathkumara mentioned that around 90% of the official ballot papers have already been distributed.
