Today marks the third day of postal voting for the upcoming 2025 Local Government (LG) elections. The casting of postal votes began on April 24. Chairman of the Election Commission, R.M.A.L. Rathnayake, stated that eligible government officials who were unable to cast their postal votes on April 24 and 25 will have the opportunity to do so today (28) and tomorrow (29). He further emphasized that the time period allocated for postal voting will not be extended. Meanwhile, the Election Commission reports that the number of complaints received regarding the LG elections has exceeded 3,000. Since March 20, a total of 3,053 complaints have been lodged, of which 2,491 have already been resolved.
